The end of teaching any class is bittersweet, but the end of a beginning quilting class is particularly so. It takes a while to learn to make a lap-robe-sized quilt, and over the 5 weeks, everyone bonds. Our London Crossroads class ended this week, and we will all miss each other. The (almost) finished quilts were lovely. As usual, the photos cannot do the quilts justice, but photos will have to do. Take a look.

Here is Kate's Christmas quilt. She chose a Hoffman print with cardinals as the focal fabric. She went so far as to fussy-cut all the large patches to position the birds front and center. She had metallics in almost all the fabrics, which made it a fancy quilt:


Next is Meral's quilt. She chose subtle, warm browns and creams, with a Kona Bay piece as her focal fabric:


And Kim loves flowers and blue, which made this piece from Moda just perfect for her. Do you love the red strips?
